Independent opinion & field notes

Editorial standards & methodology

Zenner writes personal, opinionated field notes — so trust here comes from being upfront about what's tested firsthand versus reported, not from a corporate style guide.

Standard 01

First-hand or labeled as such

If a note is based on personal testing, it says so. If it's a community report from more than one source, it's labeled a report, not a fact.

Standard 02

No paid placement

I don't sell scripts and don't get paid to rank one library over another. When a seller stops responding or a library goes stale, that gets called out directly.

Standard 03

Re-checked after big patches

Timing-sensitive notes get flagged for a re-check after major 2K patches. An old date on a timing note means it hasn't been re-verified yet — read it as 'as of' rather than current.

Standard 04

Corrections stay visible

Wrong calls get fixed in place with an updated date, not quietly edited away. Flag an error via contact.
